Hi, Aside from the big jumps in probability from one DC to the next, the impact of stepping up by a single die seems enormous. For what it's worth, I haven't played a lot of games with dice pools. I've mostly played monomial systems like d20, or polynomial systems that create a bell curve. The purpose of this question isn't to trash dice pools. On the contrary, I'm interested in the D6 system for a lot of reasons. But I think these giant jumps in probability would bother me too much. What am I missing? And is there a way to create a cumulative dice pool system that gives a smoother distribution of results? I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
